Food Components and other Subtances Research Line

Food and nutrition can be both risk factors and protective factors for human health.

In recent years, studies have been developed to identify components of foods and other sources that can bring benefits to the body and to describe the mechanisms through which these effects are produced. The Food Components and Other Substances Research Line seeks to generate knowledge on the effect of compounds of a different nature to maintain human health in the different stages of their life cycle, especially in the prevention of obesity, cardiovascular health and gastrointestinal health.
